Overview
Navigate to "Live" in the time selector for buildings & floors to view near real time person count data. Depending on what's being measured in your building or floor, Live view allows you to see the availability of spaces (available, occupied, or passively occupied) or person count of an entire Floor.
Note: Live view is currently not available for Portfolio level, but is available for Buildings, Floors, Space Types, and Space Groups.
Building View
For Buildings, utilize Live to quickly view the floor by floor person count.
Note: The most accurate floor count requires VergeSense entryway measuring to be enabled.
Floor View
Entryways
For floors measured by VergeSense, we show you the Live "Person on the Floor" count - as well as the Entries and Exit counts by entryway. Utilize the table and Entryways map (which shows you where the VergeSense measurements are coming from) to determine the most popular entryways for your floor. This can help you determine the best placement for things like Kiosks that display company or building information.
Note: The People on Floor count "resets" at 3AM local time every day. The Live "people on floor" count is based on all the summed entries and exits for that floor since 3AM.
Green Icons indicate where threshold sensors are on your floor, and the table below includes the Entries and Exits by sensor since 3AM local time, summing to the total Live "people on floor" count.
Spaces
For floors where Spaces are measured by VergeSense, you'll see a floor plan with Live availability - if no entryways are measured, then the total Count is only for the total number of people in Spaces (rooms) on your floor. It's important to note that this may not be the same as the total number of people on the floor itself, as there could be parts of the floor (hallways, for example) that are not being measured.
In this view, you can see the total available spaces (green), the spaces in use (red), and the spaces with Signs of Life - meaning that a laptop, bag, or coat is detected. This data updates in near real time, and the time in the lower right corner of the People on Floor card tells you the most recent refresh time. Typically, this data refreshes every few minutes. Depending on the hardware and polling frequency, data may not refresh until "activity" is detected. Once activity is detected, expect a more frequent refresh rate.
Kiosk View
Select "Manage Kiosk View" to generate a Live link to share to your company's kiosks or lobby displays and help your employees find open spaces.
Note: This link can be revoked at anytime. As long as the link exists, however, the Kiosk view for that floor will continue to persist.
Kiosk view can be shared to a lobby display to allow employees to view real time room availability. Any non-private (check whether a space is marked "private" in Settings) and VergeSense measured space will show on the floor plan. Only Spaces that are in the Space Type "Conference Room" will show up in the legend.
Focus and Collaboration spaces are set in Space Type settings - one or many Space Types may be considered Focus or Collaboration.
Floor occupancy is based on the cumulative capacity of the floor and the number of people currently in spaces on the floor.
Note: Only certain Spaces may show Passive Occupancy (Signs of Life), depending on the hardware installed.
Set passwords for live view links in Manage Kiosk View
For additional security, set a password on any Kiosk link by selecting "Anyone with the link and password can view" from Manage Kiosk View.
Adjust the zoom, rotation, and center point for Kiosk View from URL parameters
By changing the values in the URL, change the center point, zoom level and the rotation of the floorplan for your kiosk views. These changes will persist through refreshes, but may need to be reapplied after you set a new password and when a new link is generated.
Example link: https://cloud.vergesense.com/public_live/12345678?lat=51.512197&lng=-0.089737zoom=18.50&rotate=90.00
We recommend zoom be set between 18 and 22.
