G400 Gateway: How to Perform a Soft Reset and Factory Reset

Soft Reset

  1. Locate the Soft Reset Button: Press the soft reset button next to the LED indicator on the side of the gateway. The button only requires a single press and does not need to be held down.

  2. Observe the LED Sequence: About 10 seconds after pressing the button, the LED will follow this sequence:

    • Solid Yellow (1 second)
    • Solid Purple (3–5 seconds)
    • Solid Green (10–12 seconds)
    • Flashing Green (5–10 seconds)
  3. Connectivity Confirmation: The LED will then turn off, indicating that the gateway has successfully reconnected.

If the LED indicator continues to flash green after it has gone through the boot sequence, this means the gateway is unable to connect to the local network. Please attempt the soft reset again, or contact VergeSense support (support@vergesense.com) for additional assistance.

Factory Reset

Note: Only proceed with this process if instructed by a VergeSense employee. If your gateway is connected via WiFi, this process will wipe the network configuration, and the WiFi credentials will need to be reconfigured.

  1. Locate the Factory Reset Pinhole: Insert a small pin into the hole next to the USB C port on the side of the gateway. Press and hold for 3-5 seconds, then release.

  2. Observe the LED Sequence: About 5 seconds after releasing the button, the LED will follow this sequence:
    • Solid Blue (30 seconds)
    • Flashing Green (1-5 seconds)
  3. Connectivity Confirmation: The LED will then turn off, indicating that the gateway has successfully reconnected.

If the LED indicator continues to flash green after it has gone through the boot sequence, this means the gateway is unable to connect to the local network. In this case please contact VergeSense support (support@vergesense.com) for additional assistance.
