Overview
VergeSense currently offers three Building level Insights - Person Count Trends, Shortages, and Bookings. Insights are a quick way to identify and learn more about trends in Buildings, and can be utilized to navigate to key visualizations or tables to dive deeper into Occupancy Intelligence Analytics. Utilize Building Insights to identify significant changes in person count, where the most shortages are occurring (and for what space type), or opportunities to increase availability for critical spaces by enabling actions with Space Booking Integrations.
Person Count Trends
The Person Count Trends Insight provides the previous full month's average daily person count compared to the month prior (so January would compare to December), and any significant increase or decrease. View the Average Daily Peak for the building (or floor, space type, space group, neighborhood, or specific space) in the Peak Person Count Gauge Card, in the Person Count Over Time visualization, or in Building, Floors, and Spaces tables.
Utilizing Person Count Trends
Clicking on the Person Count Trends insight will update the time selector to Last Month and take you directly to the Person Count Over Time graph for the building. Average daily peak gives you a better understanding of “typical peaks” in your buildings, softening outliers and allowing for a more complete picture of how spaces are being used. Average Daily Peak is useful for occupancy planning and design, ensuring spaces can accommodate both averages and usual peaks.
Shortages
The Shortages Summary Insight, which appears at the top of any Building page with area sensors installed, provides a short overview of the Floor and Space Type with the most Shortage Events in the last week (note: the timeframe for the Insight is always "last week", regardless of the timeframe selected).
Clicking on the insight will send you directly to the Floor and Space Type with the most Shortage Events in the last week.
Utilizing Shortage Insights
The Shortages Insight allows you to easily identify the floor and space type within a building with the most Shortage Events in the last week, narrowing down where you should focus attention and allowing you to investigate additional shortages on the floor.
From here, you can view the other Space Types on the floor (or Building), view compared to Peak and Average Person Count, and navigate to the Spaces Table to view each Space's aggregated metrics for the time period.
Booking
If you do not have a Booking Integration in the building, admin level users will see a dismissible (simply click the X in the top right of the insight) insight that includes more information about our Space Booking Integrations and how much availability VergeSense customer's can typically regain by enabling actions such as Cancellations (for No Showed bookings) and Early Release for bookings that ended early.
Buildings that have any spaces mapped to a Booking Integration will see a summary of the actions or potential time savings for those spaces, and clicking the Booking Insight will take you directly to the Booking Summary table.
Utilizing Booking Insights
Use the Building Booking summary tab to view the spaces with the most scheduled, attended, no showed or early released events to identify which spaces are getting booked and optimally (or sub-optimally) used. Do a deeper dive in the Booking Summary report to see trends overtime. View what spaces have been mapped, and which have actions (cancellations or early release) in the Space Mapping section of your Booking Integration (Settings --> Integrations --> Booking Integration --> Space Mapping).
