New for 2025, The VergeSense G400-C is the cellular version of our first ever in-house designed and manufactured gateway that will replace the Rigado C500 Cellular gateways.
This guide provides detailed instructions on how to install the VergeSense G400-C gateway. The target audience are individuals responsible for physical installation of a VergeSense sensor network.
Each sensor comes with custom brackets which provide flexible installation on drop ceiling, rod drops, drywall, decorative ceiling, and junction boxes.
The standard bracket mounts on drop ceiling or any diameter rod drop. For custom installs, the standard bracket attaches to either junction plate or wall mount bracket, which provides lower cost and flexibility. Each individual box comes with items shown below.
Using the above bracket that is provided with the gateway, mount the bracket to the ceiling via 2 of the 4 holes minimum. Ensure a solid and secure fitting is made before mounting the gateway. A hole will also be required for the USB-C / POE cable if the cable is to be installed behind the surface material.

Using the above bracket that is provided with the gateway, mount the bracket to a 10mm threaded rod which will be secured in place by 2 threaded rod nuts. Ensure a solid and secure fitting is made before mounting the gateway. The USB-C / POE cable can be secured against the threaded rod via cable ties to ensure a nice clean installation.
The 10mm threaded rod can be attached directly to the ceiling or cable tracks if available. Ensure the correct fixings are used for the type of material you are mounting to.
Example:
- Cable tracks (Nuts/washers)
- Concrete ceilings (Concrete anchors)
Using the above brackets that are provided with the gateway, mount the junction box bracket to a junction box. Ensure a solid and secure fitting is made before mounting the gateway.
The above bracket will slide into the junction box bracket. The gateway can then mount to this bracket.
Ensure that the junction box is secured to the threaded rod/ ceiling with the appropriate fixings.
