ServiceNow - VergeSense Workplace Connector

Overview

This integration connects VergeSense’s occupancy intelligence data with ServiceNow Workplace Service Delivery to help workplace and facilities teams optimize room usage and reservations. Automatically release meeting rooms and improve space availability using real-time presence data. Make workplace resources more accessible and efficient, right from the ServiceNow platform.

This integration, which you can learn more about in the ServiceNow store, allows for: 

• Process real-time metric-series data from incoming web-hook data
• Display processed data to the user in an indoor mapping interface

Setting up the Integration

A user account with admin privileges on the ServiceNow instance will need to navigate to the ServiceNow store and request the VergeSense Workplace Connector Integration to begin set up. Locations configured in Workplace Service Delivery (WSD), with corresponding VergeSense locations, are also required. 

ServiceNow Settings

Go to System Properties (sys_properties), Set the property sn_wsd_space_map.show_rsv_occ_data_loc_dir to true. Additionally, we recommend setting the stale time to 60 minutes. 

VergeSense Settings

In VergeSense, admins or developers must set up the web-hook (navigate to Settings --> Web-hooks). Select Space Report and add the ServiceNow generated callback URL. Ensure the web-hook is set to "enabled". Once enabled, you will be able to map the ServiceNow spaces in ServiceNow to the corresponding VergeSense spaces. Navigate to the Location directory to see live occupancy data.
