Overview
VergeSense customers who have AppSpace can navigate to the AppSpace platform and easily set up the AppSpace out-of-the-box VergeSense integration. The integration pushes VergeSense occupancy data into AppSpace, allowing actions such as automatic check for existing scheduled meetings or instantly booking room based on occupancy.

NOTE: You must be an existing AppSpace customer to utilize this integration.
Features & Use Cases
Utilize VergeSense occupancy data to create rules and automations in AppSpace.
- Simplified Deployment: Connect and configure sensors without custom integrations, reducing operational overhead.
- Real-Time Automation: Power automations that respond to real-world conditions by enabling direct communication between VergeSense devices and the Appspace platform.
- Unified Intelligence: Consolidate data from VergeSense sensors directly within Appspace to enhance visibility and operational efficiency.
Common Use Cases
-
Automatic Check-in: If a sensor detects someone's presence for 5 minutes after a reservation starts, it can automatically check them in.
-
Rule Settings:
- Condition: Contains, Not Empty
- Applies for: 5 minutes
- Action: Check in

-
Early End to a Meeting: If a meeting ends early and the room becomes empty, the sensor can detect that the room has been unoccupied for 20 minutes and end the reservation, making the room available sooner.
-
Rule Settings:
- Condition: Contains, Empty
- Applies for: 20 minutes
- Action: End

Extending a Reservation: If a meeting runs longer than the original reservation, the sensor can detect that people are still present after 5 minutes and extend the reservation by 30 minutes.
-
Rule Settings:
- Conditions: Contains, Not Empty
- Applies for: 5 minutes
- Action: Extend
- Extend duration: 30 minutes

Set Up Steps
Set Up Video and steps to set up this integration below.
- Navigate to the space reservation settings within the AppSpace Platform, then IoT sensors, and then drivers. Install the VergeSense driver, then copy the URL and the key.
- Login to the VergeSense Platform. Navigate to Settings --> Webhooks, create a new webhook, and set up a Space Report to send On Change (ensure you have selected the correct Buildings and set the webhook to "Enabled"). Add the URL and a custom header with the key that was copied earlier from the AppSpace platform.
- Return to AppSpace and the IoT sensors tab to map the incoming occupancy data with resources in AppSpace. For example, the space ID or space name from VergeSense can be mapped to "conference room 3" in AppSpace.
- In AppSpace, go to the actual resource and set up your occupancy-based triggered action rules. For instance, if a room is occupied for at least one minute, the rules can be set to instantly book the room if it is free, or check into an existing scheduled meeting. These rules will happen automatically once created and the occupancy data is flowing.
